Lifestyle changes help Leicester lady lose weight and gain confidence

I started using the service when the my doctor referred me to help me with weight loss.  I am diabetic so I also needed to make some lifestyle changes in order to manage my diabetes.

I had to take several steps to achieve my goals. I started by reducing my portion sizes and then changing my shopping habits and cooking techniques.

Once I was confident with those changes I started to focus on exercise. Exercise is something I never had much confidence with but when I learnt the government guidelines I was shocked to see how little I actually did. Initially I started  by going on 15 minute walks every day with my husband and then once I received my free gym pass I started doing that once a week. I now absolutely love going and go four times a week.

The most noticeable difference to me has to be my confidence, I am a lot  happier with myself and my clothes feel looser. I now fit into some of my old dresses that I haven't been able to wear for years. My stamina has really improved, the first three days of going to the gym were the hardest but now I love going and working out and find it much harder to get out of breath.

Making these changes has been incredibly worthwhile, I sleep a lot better and I feel that my general health overall is a better. The biggest achievement for me has been losing 2 stone-  and I am still going.
